ജോസഫ് - സിസിലി ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകനായി കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ കപ്പാട്ട് ജനിച്ചു. ധനതത്വശാസ്‍ത്രത്തിൽ ബിരുദവും മാസ് കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷനിലും ജേണലിസത്തിലും ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദവും, കംപ്യൂട്ടർ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷൻസിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ഡിപ്ലോമയും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മലേഷ്യയിൽ രാജ്യാന്തര പത്രസംഘടനയായ വാൻ ഇഫ്രയുടെ സ്‍പോർട്‍സ് ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫിയിലുള്ള പ്രത്യേക‌ പരിശീലനം നേടി. ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ വാർത്താ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ എടുത്ത് ഇലക്‍ട്രോണിക് ഫോർമാറ്റിൽ ഫയൽ ചെയ്‍തതിലൂടെ 2010,2011,2012,2013 വർഷങ്ങളിലെ  ലിംകാ ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് റെക്കോഡ്‍സിലും യുണീക് ബുക് ഓഫ് വേൾഡ് റെക്കോർഡ്സിലും  ജോസ്‍കുട്ടി സ്‍ഥാനം പിടിച്ചു.  ഇപ്പോഴും ഈ റെക്കോർഡ് ജോസ്കുട്ടിയുടെ പേരിൽ  നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു. 

കേരള പത്രപ്രവർത്തക യൂണിയൻ തൃശൂർ ജില്ലാ ഘടകം ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി, സംസ്ഥാന നിർവാഹകസമിതി അംഗം എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചൈനീസ് ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ പത്രഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫറെന്ന നിലയിൽ നേരിടേണ്ടിവന്ന അനുഭവങ്ങളെഴുതിയ ജോസ്കുട്ടിയുടെ പുസ്തകം ‘കാണാപ്പുറം’ 2014ൽ ഒളിംപ്യൻ പ്രീജാ ശ്രീധരൻ പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു. ലിംകാ ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് റെക്കോഡ്‍സിലെ ബഹുമതിക്ക് പുറമെ നാല് രാജ്യാന്തര അവാർഡുകളും 40ൽ പരം ദേശീയ സംസ്ഥാന പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Josekutty Panackal

 Josekutty was born in Kottayam district to Joseph and Cicily.  Graduated in Economics, Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.  Received special training in sports photography from Wan Ifra Malaysia, an international press organization.  Josekutty has been featured in the Limca Book of Records and Unique Book of World Records for the years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 for taking the most news pictures and filing them in electronic format.  This record still stands in his name.

 He has worked as the Joint Secretary of the Thrissur District Unit of the Kerala Journalists' Union and a member of the State Executive Committee.  In 2014, Olympian Preeja Sreedharan released Josekutty's book 'Kanappuram', which he wrote about his experiences as a press photographer at the Chinese Asian Games.  Apart from the honor in the Limca Book of Records, he has won four international awards and more than 40 national and state awards.

 Wife Dr. Sindhu George Angamali Mookannur Federal Institute of Science and Technology Assistant Professor.  Inika and Edric are children.
